Abortion services can be accessed, without referral, by calling the Women's Wellness Program and Sexual Health Services at 1-844-365-8258.
For decades, access to abortion for PEI residents was difficult. In 2017, members of the Abortion Rights Network (ARN) challenged the government with a court filing, and the government responded by providing access through opening the Women’s Wellness Program. Health PEI. With these services now in place, ARN continues to advocate to make these services more accessible, and supports local residents in overcoming barriers to accessing abortion.
